This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MSX1-related conditions. This variant results in the deletion of exon 1 and part of exon 2 (c.-2562_645delinsA) of the MSX1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in MSX1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9742121, 10742093).
