NC_000005.9:g.(?_13931199)_(13931373_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 2 of the DNAH5 gene. This variant would be expected to be in-frame, preserving the integrity of the reading frame. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PMID: 26139845). In at least one individual the data is consistent with the variant being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
