Pathogenic for Sulfite oxidase deficiency due to molybdenum cofactor deficiency type A — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000006.11:g.(?_39874133)_(39902156_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MOCS1-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the MOCS1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in MOCS1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12754701, 16021469). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
