Pathogenic for Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.9:g.(?_28495317)_(28500717_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 4-10 of the CLN3 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CLN3 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9311735, 28542676). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CLN3-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
