Pathogenic for Tuberous sclerosis 2 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.9:g.(?_2034220)_(2152787_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the TSC2 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in TSC2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10205261, 17304050). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with tuberous sclerosis complex (PMID: 16114042, 17287951). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
