NC_000020.10:g.(?_57466782)_(57485884_?)del was classified as Pathogenic by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Isolated whole-gene deletions of GNAS have not been reported in the literature. However, larger copy number events that include this gene have been reported (PMID: 25594858). A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the GNAS gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in GNAS are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 11784876, 23281139, 23796510, 25802881). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
