Pathogenic for Tuberous sclerosis 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.11:g.(?_135771622)_(135773017_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with tuberous sclerosis complex (PMID: 28623545; Invitae). This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 21-23 of the TSC1 gene, which includes the termination codon. This deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. While this deletion is not anticipated to lead to nonsense mediated decay, it is expected to alter mRNA translation or result in a truncated protein product.
