Pathogenic for Cystinuria — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.11:g.(?_44507835)_(44508700_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 2-3 of the SLC3A1 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in SLC3A1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 24610330, 25109415, 25964309). A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with cystinuria (PMID: 19782624). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
