Pathogenic for Ornithine carbamoyltransferase deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.10:g.(?_38128879)_(38280335_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the OTC gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in OTC are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10946359, 16786505). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with OTC deficiency (PMID: 11793468, 18487280, 19138872, 19475717, 19783189, 22382802, 22494545). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
