Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.11:g.(?_37034870)_(37035863_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of Lynch syndrome (PMID: 15949572, 16807412, 16941473). This variant results in the deletion of part of exon 1 (c.-167_116+711del) of the MLH1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in MLH1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 15713769, 24362816).
