NC_000002.11:g.(?_38297865)_(38917056_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Congenital glaucoma by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the CYP1B1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in CYP1B1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9097971, 9497261, 19234632). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with primary congenital glaucoma (PMID: 31251480). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
