Pathogenic for Wilson disease — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000013.10:g.(?_52531632)_(52532700_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 8-9 of the ATP7B gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in ATP7B are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10441329, 16283883). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with ATP7B-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
