NM_001166108.2(PALLD):c.1965-12758_1965-12753dup was classified as Uncertain significance for Pancreatic adenocarcinoma by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change inserts 6 nucleotides in exon 2 of the PALLD mRNA (c.273_278dup). This leads to the insertion of 2 amino acid residues in the PALLD protein (p.Pro93_Pro94dup). These additional amino acid residues extend a 7 proline repeat region of the PALLD protein, but otherwise preserves the integrity of the reading frame. This variant has not been published in the literature and is not present in population databases. In summary, this is a novel change with uncertain impact on protein function. There is no indication that this variant causes disease, but the evidence is insufficient at this time to prove that conclusively. Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance.
