This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with glutamic acid, which is acidic and polar, at codon 766 of the AHI1 protein (p.Gly766Glu). ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 217539). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant disrupts the p.Gly766 amino acid residue in AHI1. Other variant(s) that disrupt this residue have been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 33879512).
