NM_001369.2(DNAH5):c.(?_-1)_(*1_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015). This is a large deletion in the DNAH5 gene (transcript NM_001369.2) whose exact breakpoints are not precisely mapped. Submitter rationale: A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the DNAH5 gene has been identified. Although a gross deletion of the DNAH5 gene alone has not been published in the literature, segmental deletions of chromosome 5p, which encompasses DNAH5, have been reported in individuals with Cri du Chat syndrome (PMID: 365706, 25066065). This assay cannot confirm whether this deletion extends beyond the DNAH5 gene. This variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
