The glutamine amino acid residue is found in multiple mammalian species, which suggests that this missense change does not adversely affect protein function. This variant is present in population databases (rs774914899, gnomAD 0.02%). This sequence change replaces arginine, which is basic and polar, with glutamine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 410 of the P3H2 protein (p.Arg410Gln). This variant also falls at the last nucleotide of exon 7, which is part of the consensus splice site for this exon.
