NM_000492.4(CFTR):c.2426C>T (p.Ser809Leu) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cystic fibrosis by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.S809L variant (also known as c.2426C>T), located in coding exon 14 of the CFTR gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 2426. The serine at codon 809 is replaced by leucine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
