This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with aspartic acid, which is acidic and polar, at codon 731 of the CPS1 protein (p.Gly731Asp). This variant also falls at the last nucleotide of exon 18, which is part of the consensus splice site for this exon. This variant is present in population databases (no rsID available, gnomAD 0.003%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CPS1-related conditions.
