Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_003322.6(TULP1):c.152_302del151 (p.Cys53fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with TULP1-related conditions. The frequency data for this variant in the population databases is considered unreliable, as metrics indicate insufficient coverage at this position in the gnomAD database. This variant results in the deletion of part of exons 3 and 4 (c.157_307del) of the TULP1 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in TULP1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8606774, 10549638, 15024725, 18055821).
