Pathogenic for Retinoblastoma — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000321.3(RB1):c.287dup (p.Glu97fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Glu97Glyfs*13) in the RB1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in RB1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17096365). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with RB1-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency).
