Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_001142416.2(AIMP1):c.89_92del (p.Ser30fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Ser30Tyrfs*12) in the AIMP1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in AIMP1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 21092922). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with AIMP1-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency).
