NM_002907.4(RECQL):c.608G>A (p.Arg203Lys) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.R203K variant (also known as c.608G>A), located in coding exon 5 of the RECQL gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 608. The arginine at codon 203 is replaced by lysine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
