Submitter rationale: The p.D720E variant (also known as c.2160T>A), located in coding exon 19 of the ANK2 gene, results from a T to A substitution at nucleotide position 2160. The aspartic acid at codon 720 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with highly similar properties. According to data from gnomAD, the frequency for this variant is above the maximum credible frequency for a cardiac disease-causing variant in this gene based on internally established thresholds (Karczewski et al.
