NM_002519.3(NPAT):c.294C>G (p.Ser98Arg) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.S98R variant (also known as c.294C>G), located in coding exon 5 of the NPAT gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 294. The serine at codon 98 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
