NM_001365951.3(KIF1B):c.2879A>G (p.His960Arg) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.H914R variant (also known as c.2741A>G), located in coding exon 24 of the KIF1B gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 2741. The histidine at codon 914 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
