NM_002519.3(NPAT):c.2658T>G (p.Asn886Lys) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.N886K variant (also known as c.2658T>G), located in coding exon 13 of the NPAT gene, results from a T to G substitution at nucleotide position 2658. The asparagine at codon 886 is replaced by lysine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
