Submitter rationale: The c.2249A>G variant (also known as p.K750R), located in coding exon 13 of the ATM gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 2249. The lysine at codon 750 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This nucleotide position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In silico splice site analysis predicts that this alteration will weaken the native splice donor site.
