NM_001386125.1(OBSCN):c.10588G>A (p.Glu3530Lys) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.E3101K variant (also known as c.9301G>A), located in coding exon 35 of the OBSCN gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 9301. The glutamic acid at codon 3101 is replaced by lysine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
