NM_000384.3(APOB):c.9158A>G (p.Glu3053Gly) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cardiovascular phenotype by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.E3053G variant (also known as c.9158A>G), located in coding exon 26 of the APOB gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 9158. The glutamic acid at codon 3053 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
