NM_000288.4(PEX7):c.797C>G (p.Thr266Ser) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.T266S variant (also known as c.797C>G), located in coding exon 8 of the PEX7 gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 797. The threonine at codon 266 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
