Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_001386125.1(OBSCN):c.7045G>A (p.Gly2349Ser), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.G1974S variant (also known as c.5920G>A), located in coding exon 20 of the OBSCN gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 5920. The glycine at codon 1974 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
