NM_001365951.3(KIF1B):c.5160A>T (p.Lys1720Asn) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.K1674N variant (also known as c.5022A>T), located in coding exon 44 of the KIF1B gene, results from an A to T substitution at nucleotide position 5022. The lysine at codon 1674 is replaced by asparagine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
