Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_001369.3(DNAH5):c.3504del (p.Glu1168fs), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The c.3504delA pathogenic mutation, located in coding exon 23 of the DNAH5 gene, results from a deletion of one nucleotide at nucleotide position 3504, causing a translational frameshift with a predicted alternate stop codon (p.E1168Dfs*12). This alteration is expected to result in loss of function by premature protein truncation or nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. As such, this alteration is interpreted as a disease-causing mutation.
