NM_005502.4(ABCA1):c.3202C>G (p.Arg1068Gly) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cardiovascular phenotype by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.R1068G variant (also known as c.3202C>G), located in coding exon 21 of the ABCA1 gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 3202. The arginine at codon 1068 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
