The variant allele was found at a frequency of 0.00032 in 249334 control chromosomes. This frequency is not significantly higher than estimated for a pathogenic variant in ABCG5 causing Sitosterolemia (0.00032 vs 0.0032), allowing no conclusion about variant significance. c.775-18C>T has been reported in the literature in individuals affected with Familial hypercholesterolemia, however without strong evidence for causality (e.g., Reeskamp_2020). These report(s) do not provide unequivocal conclusions about association of the variant with Early Onset Coronary Artery Disease.
