Disruption of this splice site has been observed in individual(s) with melanoma and pancreatic cancer (PMID: 10861313, 15140239). This variant is also known as IVS2+2T>G. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 1510258). Variants that disrupt the consensus splice site are a relatively common cause of aberrant splicing (PMID: 17576681, 9536098).
