Submitter rationale: This missense change has been observed in individuals with chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis and/or suspected primary immunodeficiency (PMID: 27114460, 31677808, 32888943; Invitae). This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This sequence change replaces aspartic acid, which is acidic and polar, with asparagine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 171 of the STAT1 protein (p.Asp171Asn).
