NC_000001.10:g.(?_110603355)_(111147404_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, 32 by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the KCNA2 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in KCNA2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17634333, 27457812). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. Isolated whole-gene deletions of KCNA2 have not been reported in the literature. However, larger copy number events that include this gene have been reported (PMID: 25950944, 33802230). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
