Pathogenic for Primary ciliary dyskinesia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000017.10:g.(?_78039264)_(78039425_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 10 of the CCDC40 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CCDC40 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 21131974, 22693285, 23255504). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CCDC40-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
