Pathogenic for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.9:g.(?_9864152)_(9871785_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 22-25 of the SBF2 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in SBF2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12687498, 25873783). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with SBF2-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
