Pathogenic for Neurofibromatosis, type 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000017.10:g.(?_29588715)_(29592367_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. The region of the NF1 gene that includes exon 35 has been determined to be clinically significant (PMID: 26189818, Invitae). Therefore, deletions that encompass that region are likely to disrupt protein function and cause disease. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with NF1-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 34-35 of the NF1 gene. This variant would be expected to be in-frame, preserving the integrity of the reading frame.
