NC_000012.11:g.(?_32729292)_(32793467_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4 by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (PMID: 28902413). A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the FGD4 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in FGD4 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17564972). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
