Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000020.10:g.(?_49354394)_(49626875_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Isolated whole-gene deletions of ADNP have not been reported in the literature. However, larger copy number events that include this gene have been reported (PMID: 24531329). A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ADNP gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in ADNP are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 29724491, 30106381). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
