Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.11:g.(?_47948073)_(48035379_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the MSH6 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in MSH6 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 18269114, 24362816). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of Lynch syndrome (PMID: 28135145). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.

Reason: This record appears to be redundant with a more recent record from the same submitter.
