Pathogenic for GATA3-related condition — the classification assigned by PreventionGenetics, part of Exact Sciences to NM_001002295.2(GATA3):c.404del (p.Pro135fs): The GATA3 c.404delC variant is predicted to result in a frameshift and premature protein termination (p.Pro135Argfs*60). This variant was reported in two individuals with hypoparathyroidism, deafness and renal dysplasia syndrome (reported as codon 135 in Table 2, Ali et al. 2007. PubMed ID: 17210674; Table 2, Imafidon et al. 2021. PubMed ID: 34136434). This variant has not been reported in a large population database, indicating this variant is rare. Frameshift variants in GATA3 are expected to be pathogenic. This variant is interpreted as likely pathogenic.
