Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with arginine, which is basic and polar, at codon 815 of the GRIN1 protein (p.Gly815Arg). This variant also falls at the last nucleotide of exon 17, which is part of the consensus splice site for this exon. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). A different variant (c.2443G>A) giving rise to the same protein effect has been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 25864721, 27164704, 32827528).
