Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000195.5(HPS1):c.1870C>T (p.Gln624Ter), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with HPS1-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Gln624*) in the HPS1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in HPS1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12442288, 16185271).
