Pathogenic for Congenital hyperammonemia, type I — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.12:g.210577425_210577431del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Ser129Cysfs*19) in the CPS1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CPS1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 21120950). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with CPS1-related conditions.
