Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_133497.4(KCNV2):c.656_657del (p.Glu219fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Glu219Alafs*152) in the KCNV2 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in KCNV2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 16909397, 18235024). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with KCNV2-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency).
