Pathogenic for Curry-Hall syndrome; Ellis-van Creveld syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000004.11:g.(?_5803667)_(5806578_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 16-17 of the EVC gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in EVC are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23220543). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with EVC-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
